Using UpdateEXPERT Premium without
Leaf Agents
There may be cases when the use of Leaf Agents is not desired. They are not necessary when the Windows services for remote machine management are available. In order to use UpdateEXPERT Premium patch updates / patch management solutions without Leaf Agents, the following must be available on the managed machine:
- Credentials must be established that allow the Master Agent to access the managed machine with administrative rights
(see discussion of selecting query credentials above)
- ADMIN$ enabled and properly configured
- Admin shares for other drives whose installed components may be queried
- Remote Procedure Call services started
- Remote Registry access (should be accessible from the UE console)
- Remote Registry service started
- Netlogon service started
