Multi-User Rights & Roles
UpdateEXPERT Premium software patch management offers features that allow you to easily secure your systems and make the best use of your IT staff. One such feature is the Multi-User Rights and Roles. Rather than having to assign full access to your network infrastructure in order to have patching and settings configuration accomplished, this feature lets you efficiently utilize your IT staff and maintain control over security and patch management policies.
How User Roles Works
User roles such as administrator, auditor or policy manager are defined and you can assign rights to each role. Rights include query, manage machines, deploy patches, report, etc. With this feature you can allow several administrators to manage your networks and systems while maintaining security and permissions.
The following screen shot shows the two windows allowing you to select roles for each staff member and then assign the rights that accompany those roles.
